Essex County and Newark Area Employment Law Attorneys
Wrongful Termination | Discrimination | Sexual Harassment | Retaliation
New Jersey employment law protects employees from illegal discrimination and harassment in the workplace. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may wish to discuss these problems with us to determine your legal rights.
Attorney Emanuel S. Fish, was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1968 and the New York Bar in 1982. He is Certified by the Supreme Court Of New Jersey As A Civil Trial Attorney. He founded the firm in 1972. The firm represents wrongfully terminated employees, injured people, and injured workers throughout the greater Newark metropolitan area and New Jersey.
Edward F. Szep has more than a decade of experience. Working with a team approach, we advocate for employees in Newark and the surrounding areas and elsewhere in New Jersey who have suffered:
The New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD) prohibits employers from discriminating on the basis of race, creed, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, or mental or physical disability and other statutory violations by the employer. We handle all of these cases, including sexual harassment and hostile work environment claims.
Protection for Whistleblowers and Victims of Discrimination
New Jersey's Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA) and Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD) protect employees from retaliation - such as termination or demotion - because of whistleblower behavior or because they complained about discrimination. If you believe you are facing job retaliation, we are here to help you.
If you were teminated, demoted, or otherwise suffered an adverse job action by your employer in violation of CEPT or NJLAD, you may have the right to recover lost income, future income, benefits, legal fees and costs, and other consequential damages that arose from the wrongful termination.
